Alegria was once a sleepy town located in the southwestern coast of Cebu. Efforts by local officials in spurring tourism in the town resulted to the establishment of the Kawayan Festival, which is celebrated in honor of the patron saint of the town. In addition, among the products offered by the town are accessories and home décors made from Kawayan or bamboo. But, the town is more known for the canyoneering activities, which has resulted to an increase in the number of tourists looking for an adventure.
The Libo Hills is located in Barangay Lepanto, which is one of the upland areas of the town. The cold climate makes it ideal for growing vegetables. The place is also known as the “Little Baguio of Alegria.” In addition, the Libo Hills also offer visitors a breathtaking view of the Tañon Strait and the nearby island of Negros.
You can reach Libo Hills heading to the Cebu South Bus Terminal where you can catch a bus going to this southwestern town of Cebu. Once you reach the town proper, you can get on a motorcycle for hire to the Libo Hills.
