Even though its a few more weeks before the end of summer, it seems we’re are up for hotter days before the end of May. According to the Philippine Astronomical, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA, summer is expected to end by the end of the month and temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius, which is higher than its peak of 33 degrees Celsius last March 28.
But, if you are looking for a place away from the crowds at a reasonable price, you can simply hop on a bus headed north and check out the beaches in the northern municipality of Catmon. Catmon is a town located in between the towns of Carmen and Sogod. It faces the Camotes Sea and is home to the second highest peak of Cebu , Mount Kapayas or the Tore Peak. Catmon is also home to a number of beaches that can give big-name resorts in Mactan a run for their money.
