Located in the town of Badian around 130 kilometers southwest of the Queen City of the South, the Kawasan Falls is probably the best-known waterfalls in the island. It has three major waterfalls with each offering their respective appeal.
The third waterfall may not be as tall as the first two, but it is still a good place to take a dip. The third tier is also the least crowded among the three waterfalls, which makes it ideal for people who want to avoid the crowds at the first two waterfalls.
The Kabukalan Spring is the main source of the waterfalls, which flow into the Matutinao River and the Tanon Strait.
- There may be some people offering to carry your things and guide you to Kawasan for a fee. You can opt to forego getting a guide since the trail is easy to follow. The distance from the entrance to the first waterfall is around 1.5 kilometers.
- While you can buy food from any of the stalls located in the area, it is best to bring your own food since you may find the prices of food items quite surprising.
- If possible, visit the Kawasan Falls on a weekday since the place has the tendency to become crowded during the weekends.
