The town of Minglanilla is better known as the “Sugat Capital of the South” due to its annual Kabanhawan (Resurrection) Festival. The festival is held on Easter Sunday reflects the devotion of the residents of Minglanilla to the resurrectionof Jesus Christ. MInglanilla also has a number of tourist spots offering unique experiences to visitors and residents alike.
The Tubod Bukid Resort is actually an extension to the popular Tubod Flowing Water Resort. It is located on the mountains overlooking the town of Minglanilla. Similar to the Tubod Flowing Water Resort, the Tubod Bukid Resort also features a swimming pool where guests can cool off when the island heat becomes less bearable. But, the main attraction of the resort is its waterslide.
The waterslide at the Tubod Bukid Resort is the longest one you can find on the island. It has a total length of 125 meters or 411 feet. It starts at the top of the mountain and gives guests a panoramic view of the town while sliding down into the main pool. The end of the slide features a ten-foot long pool that serves as a stopper for the waterslide. The design is also used for the waterslide of Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark.
You can reach the Tubod Bukid Resort by getting on a jeepney headed for Minglanilla. Once you reach Upper Pakigne you will see a sign board “Tubond Flowing Water Resort” along the road. From here you can get on a motorcycle for hire to take you to the resort. The Tubod Bukid Resort is located right across the Tubod Flowing Water Resort.
The Tubod Bukid Resort is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM during weekends and holidays. The entrance fee of the resort is at PHP220 and PHP110 for adults and children under 9 years old, respectively.
