The Mingnan Chinese Cuisine is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in downtown Cebu. The place serves authentic Chinese food at a very reasonable price. In fact, Mingnan Chinese Cuisine is known for its PHP50 meal, which includes a choice of two viands and rice. Customers get to choose the viand from the food on display. It can be an all meat or all vegetable viands.
Mingnan Chinese Cuisine actually has two locations in the city. The original location is along Plaridel Ext, which is a side street close to the Basilica del Sto. Niño Church. The second and newer location is at the ground floor of the JESA ITC building along General Maxilom Ave. This is the building directly across National Bookstore. The Plaridel Ext. location is essentially a cafeteria-style restaurant while the General Maxilom Ave. location is a sit-down restaurant.
You can get to the original location of Mingnan Chinese Cuisine by getting on a jeepney that will go through Osmeña Boulevard. You can get off at the corner where Ranola Motor Company is located. The restaurant is located a few steps from the corner on the left side of the side street. For the second location, you can simply ride a jeepney headed for General Maxilom Ave. You can get off at the jeepney stop close to National Bookstore.
