Carmen is one of the northern towns of Cebu. From being mainly an agricultural town, Carmen is gradually being noticed by local and foreign tourists looking for something new in Cebu. The town is home to the Durano Eco-farm, the St. Benedictine Monastery, and the Mangitngit Falls.
The Mt. Uragay Spring Resort of Carmen is one of the many tourist spots of this northern Cebu town. It is a cool oasis located in Barangay Corte, Carmen. It is one of the options of tourists who are not keen in taking a dip in sea water. It was once the source of water of a bottled water company before the company was able to find a new source for its use.
You can reach the Mt. Uragay Spring Resort by getting on a bus or jeepney headed for Carmen. You should tell the driver or conductor to let you off at the Carmen Public Market. Once you reach the public market, you can hire a motorcycle to bring you to the resort. The trip to the resort will take a little over an hour.
