The main tourist drawer in the municipality of Oslob is the whale sharks that visit the place every day. But, Oslob has more to offer than given visitors the opportunity to swim with the whale sharks. Similar to other parts of the island, the town has its share of natural wonders. One of these wonders is the Tumalog Falls.
The Tumalog Falls is located in Barangay Luka and is around fifteen to twenty minutes away from the whale shark watching area. A number of visitors to Oslob typically drop by the falls after their whale shark experience. The place is located has remained relatively untouched by commercial development. One Trip Advisor user commented that the green surroundings and the birds flying all over the place felt like being “transported to the Jurassic period.” Another user described the Tumalog Falls as a “magical waterfall” as it trickles slowly down the rocks with the sun making the water glisten. She added that the place is not as crowded as the more famous Kawasan Falls in Badian.
To get to the Tumalog Falls, it will be necessary to hop on a bus to Oslob at the Cebu South Bus Terminal. The trip to Oslob will take around two hours depending on the traffic. Visitor should get off at Barangay Luka where they can hop on a motorcycle going to the falls.
