The topography of the island of Cebu is dominated by rolling hills and rugged mountains that stretch from north to south. Due to this, it is not surprising for the island to have numerous mountain resorts. These mountain resorts offer amenities to make the stay of their guests fun and enjoyable. The town of Compostela also has its own mountain resort that opened in 2014, the Gatubod Spring Resort.

Gatubod Spring Resort

Gatubod Spring Resort is the first mountain resort in the town of Compostela. It is located in one of the mountain barangays of the town. The resort is around seven kilometers away from the main highway. The name of the resort is derived from the Cebuano word “tubod,” which means spring. The water used in the swimming pools of the resort comes from a spring in the area.
