​A trip to northern Cebu can be a culinary journey any traveler will enjoy. There are a good number of places where you can stop by and grab a quick bite. We came up with a list of 6 places where you can stop by in your trip to the northern part of the island.

Felixerto's Burgers and Hotdogs

Felixerto's Burgers and Hotdogs is a pit stop for bikers and motorists going through the Transcentral Highway in Balamban. It is actually a simple burger stand offering burgers and hotdogs to weary travelers looking for a place to where they can grab a bite to eat. Prices of the food at Felixerto's Burgers and Hotdogs range between PHP30 to PHP50. Since it is close to the Adventure Café, it is a great place to fill your stomach after a whole day of adrenaline rushing at the resort.

Capitancillo Cafe & Restaurant 

Capitancillo Cafe & Restaurant is a restaurant located at the heart of Bogo City in the north. Its simple exterior belies the elegant interior of the café. The lava cake is one of the crowd drawers of the place, which is one of the hidden secrets of the city. In addition, the place offers a good selection of Filipino dishes as well as pizza and pasta dishes.. Prices range from PHP85 for the Chicharon Bulaklak up to PHP295 for the Capitancillo Pochero. They also offer value meals at PHP95 each.

Food Kiosks close to the Lugo Church in Borbon 

Travelers to the northern part of the island typically stop by the town of Borbon for a quick snack. The best place for you to get your hands on the famous budbod kabog of Borbon is at the food kiosks close to the Lugo Church. The delicacy is an elongated rice cake wrapped in banana leaves. Its main ingredient is millet, which makes it unique since this delicacy is normally made of pilit (sticky rice) or cassava.

Duko-Duko Eatery 

The Duko-Duko Eatery is another favorite food stop among travelers to the north. The place is located along the highway in the town of Catmon. The specialties of the house are the pochero and native chicken. The eatery also offers a host of other Filipino dishes, including the dinuguan, balbacua, and lechon Kawali. The place is popular among travelers and residents in the area. Guests of some resorts close to the eatery also drop by the place for lunch or dinner.

Bastap

Bastap is the product of the collaboration between Kintar Food and the Ceres bus company. The name reflects the way Cebuanos pronounce bus stop. It provides travelers a place where they can have a quick stopover to stretch their legs or grab a bite to eat. Bastap is located in Barangay Luyang in the town of Carmen. Bastap offers a good selection of dishes for its guests, including the Bastap burger, Lasagna Siciliana, and Classic Countryside Caesar’s Salad.

Titay’s and Liloan Food Street

Liloan is famous for Titay’s Rosquillos and the masi. Travelers can pass by the outlet of Titay’s along the road where they can buy some mouthwatering delicacies offered by the town. On the other hand, travelers can also buy the masi of Liloan from basket-toting vendors in the town. But, if you find yourself traveling to the north on a Saturday or Sunday, you can drop by the Liloan Food Street. The place is located beside the church and offers the best the town can offer all in one place.
